Purple Rain
On my way back from getting a gift for my wife for our 2nd Anniversary(!), I spotted this lovely, deep purple Plymouth
Valiant(update: sorry, it’s a Barracuda… it had Valiant badges, weird) Barracuda sitting on a quiet street near the East Village in NYC.It was raining pretty hard, I was soaked, and I was holding an enormous framed family portrait wrapped in paper, cardboard and plastic in one hand and an umbrella in the other keeping the portrait dry and somehow I managed to grab my iPhone out of my pocket and snap these photos.
It’s this sort of thing that makes me love this city. Some guy probably wakes up at 6am every morning and moves his Barracuda to another spot, and does the same thing again at night, just to keep it as a daily. Not the easiest thing to do even with a modern car in New York.
